Got the bed wood stained and epoxied today, as well as brakes bled. New taillights on.

T5 trans in, dropped axle, 10 bolt rear, whitewall tires

10 bolt Chevy Rear end installed, replacing the torque tube. Will sit on 3" lowering blocks. Tube style shocks to replace knee action original ones.

Installed T5 transmission and added new shift knob...a Blatz beer tap handle from the sixties

Have decided to install  lowered 10 bolt rear, T5 trans and open drive line. Sent front axle off to OK for 4" drop. Found replacement seat. Started re-assembling the bed. Installed new fuel tank and lines. Have nice 235 to start building to eventually replace the 216.

Got the doors back on, brakes almost done, new king pins,new clutch, rear axle back on, starting to re-assemble bed with new bolts, awaiting fuel tank install, still need to find replacement for passenger side rear fender,

After getting the engine running, we determined that the clutch needs attention. Pulled the third member, transmission, and clutch assembly. I have a spare engine and trans, 4 spd., and will install the clutch and trans off that into the truck soon.

It is ALIVE! Got the engine running yesterday - and it sounds wonderful! The camera distorted the sound - it really does sound like a sewing machine in person!
